Our Singers

I grew up in Bracknell, Berkshire in a non-musical family, but had the opportunity to be involved with school, youth and county ensembles and went on to study music at the University of Leeds in 2007. After graduating, I became the first woman to be employed as a singer on an otherwise all male back row at Lincoln Cathedral, and subsequently Bristol’s first female Lay Clerk from 2016-19. Recently, Canterbury Cathedral hired me as a Choral Scholar, giving the girl choristers a female role model for the first time. Alongside these positions, I have worked as a teacher, soloist and studied for a PgDip in Vocal Performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2019.
I have really enjoyed performing with choirs over the years, including Ex Cathedra and the NYCGB Chamber Choir, but I am really excited for this new venture singing with Vox. The more diversity we have within these contexts, the more depth and understanding we gain, and the more we can learn from each other as individuals to build a rich and inclusive musical community.
